Founded in 2001 to welcome toddlers in a nursery setting, ABITONDA Francophone School has since grown to include both preschool and primary sections. It is among the few schools in Kigali that follow the official curriculum of the French Ministry of National Education. ABITONDA's elementary school, equivalent to primary school, is located on the Gisozi campus. It provides a rigorous education based on the French National Education curriculum. Our qualified teachers support each student’s academic and personal development, combining excellence, critical thinking, and openness to the world in a caring environment. 📚✨
Our Mission
The mission of ABITONDA School is to provide high-quality education, in accordance with the French National Education curriculum, in a nurturing and stimulating environment. We are committed to supporting each student’s academic, personal, and social development by fostering growth, intellectual curiosity, and independence. With a qualified and passionate teaching team, we implement learning methods tailored to the needs of each child, while emphasizing values of respect, diversity, and excellence. Beyond academic teaching, we encourage the practice of cultural and sports activities to nurture creativity and teamwork. We believe in an education that prepares our students to become responsible citizens, open to the world, and capable of adapting to the challenges of tomorrow. With this in mind, we plan to open a high school to offer a complete educational journey to our students. In the meantime, our flexible system allows our students to continue their studies after CM2 in another Francophone or national system, according to their choices.
